Frequently asked
Can I open my garage door with a broken spring?
Please don't. The opener isn't built to lift the full weight of the door, and pulling the emergency release can let the door drop. Leave it closed. If your car is stuck inside, tell us when you call and we'll prioritize it.
Do you charge for estimates?
Phone estimates are free: we tell you the likely problem and a price range. If a technician comes out, the visit is $79, and that's credited in full when you go ahead with the repair. Estimates for new doors and openers are always free.
How fast can someone come out?
It depends on the day and your location. When you call we give you a real arrival window. Same-day is often possible for spring, cable and off-track calls.
Which openers do you work on?
The common residential brands, including LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Craftsman and Linear. If you're not sure what you have, text us a photo of the motor unit's label.
Should I repair my door or replace it?
If the door itself is solid, a repair is usually the better deal. If the panels are rusted or rotted, or you've paid for several repairs recently, replacement starts to make sense. We'll tell you plainly which one we'd pick.
Do you work on commercial doors?
We focus on homes and small commercial overhead doors. Call and describe the door and we'll tell you if it's one we take.
What's a high-cycle spring, and do I need one?
Standard springs last about 10,000 open-and-close cycles, roughly 7 years for a typical family. High-cycle springs are rated for 20,000 or more, about twice as long, for $60–$100 extra per pair. Worth it if your garage is how you come and go every day.
Do you charge more on weekends or at night?
Saturdays are regular price. Sundays, holidays, and visits before 7am or after 7pm add $99. We always tell you before booking.
When do I pay?
After the work is done and you've run the door yourself. The price is agreed before the technician starts.
